Preserve Golf ban titanium

The pioneer organization aimed at preserving the classic game of golf

Contrary to what some believe (or hold because of the promise of financial gain), some pursuits do indeed need to be preserved (governed) or their very essence will be lost (or at least altered). Golf itself does not need to be improved upon. In reality, golf cannot be made a "better" game in spite of claims by current touring professionals or former touring professionals in television ads (of course, these sell-outs are paid for their endorsements).  Claims that  recent rapid changes in technology have made the game better (or claims that the game should not be preserved) very often come in the neutral and objective forum of a television advertisement. In almost all cases, these ads peddle a product that allegedly helps makes the game "better" because you can hit it so far if you buy it. Another effort mocks a dippy golf course designer who is upset about the direction the game is taking.  The world of golf is letting such advertisements control the direction that the game takes by putting the fear of ridicule on those who disagree with the direction the game is going (over-emphasis on power). Don't say anything critical about the direction that non-governed technology has taken the game, or we'll tease you in an advertisement. Oh no, please don't make fun of us.  We give in. Give me a set with a 460cc driver, 5 hybrids and a putter that touches my chin (don't forget to put a line on my ball). Boo-hoo, wah! Don't make fun of us, pleeeeease? You win, you spent so much money on advertisements (which you could only do because you charged so much for your drivers).

A 460cc driver size allowance. What were they thinking? How can people support this with a straight face?
